Hotel accommodation

Hotels in Hasselt seem to be fully booked, at least in the middle of the week.  We recently got a proposal from a hotel in Genk (at 12 km from Hasselt) offering a reduced price to participants of Equadiff.  The hotel is situated at walking distance (3') from the railway station of Genk, where you can take the train to Hasselt.  There is a train every hour (xxh14), and an extra train at 7h50 and 8h04.  From Hasselt to Genk, there is a train at least every hour (xxh31) with a last train at 23h31.  Better is to take bus 45 bringing you from Genk Station to campus and to the Grenslandhallen (ask for "Provinciehuis").  In the morning, there are buses about every 15 minutes (e.g. in the morning at 7h47, 8h06 (not 8h03!), 8h17, 8h32). The bus drive to the Grenslandhallen takes about 20 minutes. To go back, the last bus passes by the campus at 20h25.

A number of hotels in Hasselt have been contacted and provide reduced rates for participants of Equadiff. Be aware that the hotels are not Hilbert-like. They have a limited number (a priori given upper bound) of rooms that will be distributed on a "first-come, first-served"-base. Reservation needs to be made with the chosen hotel, either by tel, fax or e-mail. Do not forget to mention "Equadiff 2003" in order to get the reduced rate. Indicate whether you want a single or a double room. Mention the name of your roommate and indicate whether you want a double bed or twin beds.
