Transportation between the airport and Hasselt/Diepenbeek

By train

Every 20 minutes there is a shuttle train between the airport and Brussels North Station; it takes 15 to 20 minutes and the price is 2.50 EURO. Every hour there is a direct train between Brussels North Station and Hasselt; it takes 1 hour 16 minutes and the price is 9.60 EURO. The total price for a (2nd class) ticket one-way is 10.10 EURO. By airport Taxi

The most convenient way to travel from the airport to Hasselt (or to Diepenbeek) is to use a special airport taxi (small vans up to 8 people). Equadiff 2003 has a special agreement with "Airportservice Marilu" (http://www.marilu.be). The taxi brings you from the airport to your hotel/student room (or the registration desk) and vice-versa. The price for a one-way drive is 20 EURO, to be paid to the taxi driver. In order to make a reservation, fill out the electronic form "Reservation of airport taxi". At the airport, the driver will await you with a sign mentioning Equadiff. Concerning the return to the airport, the taxi company will inform you about the pickup time at the hotel or student room. If you have sent your application before July 17, then you do not need a confirmation: Marilu Airportservice has accepted all requests up to July 17. Applications after July 17 need a confirmation mail from Marilu to know if their application has been accepted.
